Who and why

Mi Shemebit Be Meaahor Lo Yodea Mi Any ðŸ™‚

TL;DR: Let’s start with the why: For myself! This site meant to help improve my programming skills and deepen my knowledge and understanding of FE technologies. If you find some benefit out of it: good for you 🙂

Who?

About the who, Writing about myself is probably the most difficult part of this site. I wrote miles of text about my different hobbies. But never about myself. But since for some reason people find it important, here it is:

So… I‘m a web developer since 2000, seeing how HTML had evolved from simple markup language to the current stage. From ASP to .net/Java/Grails/node and on it goes. Participating in the battle between JavaScript and VB Script (on the winning side). watching Flash come and go, Silverlight, MVC.net. The toolbars madness, and way more. Today an activist on the debate of the holy trinity: Angular / React / Vue.

Starting as a freelance, learning that I love to develop, but horrible when it comes to demanding money. Moving to a large Israeli company, building shops and creating pixel-perfect complicated splash pages on the old days before the rounded corners. Switching to a small company that plays a significant focus on clean code. Today as an FE team lead on a small startup that woken one day inside a global international giant, responsible for a complicated analytics SPA app.

Why only now?

Maybe it’s a midlife crisis, maybe understanding that programming is a major part of my identity. Or just as an excuse to keep up to date. But most of all, to face the two issues I need to improve consistently:

  • Improve my English writing skills.
  • Improve my programming skills.
  • A place to revisit insight and knowledge×¥

And there is no better way to improve yourself than to face your “fears”. Combining the first two together here on one blog. Most of the writing will be technical writing. Some will be from my experience as a programmer as a team leader. And some will probably be personal blabbering.

I’m writing mostly for myself, but eager to hear comments and will be grateful to correct and learn.

PS,

The domain is just an old domain I had for years, don’t look for some special meaning with its name.
